FTTH Field Applications
In FTTH deployments, the FTTX Enclosure can replace traditional ONU or FDH units. It accommodates 2-4 pieces of 1×8 or 1×16 PLC splitters and up to 24 fiber splice protection sleeves. When paired with 1-48F IP67 pre-assembled waterproof connectors, it enables direct connections to buildings and low-voltage silos. Factory pre-assembly eliminates fiber splicing requirements, reducing the need for highly skilled operators and increasing installation efficiency by 40%.
FTTA Field Applications
In FTTA applications, the enclosure serves as an aggregation/demark box connecting RRU and BBU units. It replaces star network topologies requiring individual duplex cables for each RRU with a more efficient single multi-fiber hybrid cable from BBU to enclosure, then distributing fibers to RRUs via IP67 pre-assembled waterproof cable assemblies. Power distribution to RRUs is facilitated through integrated power connectors.
Trunk Cable Management
The enclosure addresses trunk cable connection challenges with torsion-proof cable glands (plastic or metal) accommodating 5mm-14mm outer diameter cables. Internal fasteners secure main cables and strength members to withstand 1200N pulling force long-term.
